We had a great experience with Byron Bay Car Hire! Ari was super helpful and friendly, she picked us up from Ballina Airport which was just a 3 minute drive from the rental, everything was ready for us to go and we felt like VIP customers. Same for the drop off – again there was amazing Ari, taking care of everything! Thank you so much, we will definitely be back next time!

Super easy transfer, very low fuss and friendly staff. Car was clean and good. We were particularly happy with the high quality baby seat which saved a lot of hassle of needing to bring our own.

The price is much better than other places. We got a brand-new SUV for half the price compared to the big rental companies. As a mid-sized company, Byron Bay Car Hire offers advantages that larger ones might not. The staff is incredible. I didn’t have to wait at the airport since Boyd was already there when we arrived, and the same was true for our return trip. Ari was especially helpful—she tried to reach out several times, and even though I couldn’t pick up, she was still kind when I contacted her later in the evening around 8 pm. She was just as friendly and diligent when she drove us back to the airport. Highly recommend!

Pick up was easy but accidentally booked an extra day and wanted a refund but they would not provide it. Even though the request for a refund and change to the reservation was within 24 hours of the booking.
